My name is James Abel, owner of Abel-to-Fix. I am Florida-raised and Navy-trained.
The Navy teaches many things and Attention To Detail is a big part of being in the Military.I enlisted in the Navy for eight honorable years before venturing into civilian life where I worked for more than fifteen years as a refrigeration mechanic for major pharmaceutical companies.Over the years, I have had the opportunity to utilize my training and attention to detail, which combined, has made me a better person and a better technician.
I am a Certified Appliance Technician and I am continuing to further my education in the appliance field . I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from St. Leo University. You can count on Abel-To-Fix to diagnose the issue and change only the parts that need changing to comply with manufacturer's specifications.
I am honored to have served my country, and for this reason I regularly offer my fellow veterans and their spouses 10 % off labor (parts not included). Proof may be required. (e.g.picture, DD-214, VA card, etc.)
Several reasons; First OEM parts should always be used.. OEM refers to (original equipment per manufacturer). Some parts available online may not be OEM even though they may be advertised as such. Some units will run a little while with non OEM parts but reject them soon after. Many parts have specific specifications to diagnose them properly. The average homeowner would just keep changing parts, which could end up costing big bucks.
